These days, alot of people are learning how to apply makeup by watching videos on the internet. While many sites feature talented and knowledgeable professional makeup artists, others showcase individuals who are merely expressing their own opinions regarding products and techniques. Information obtained on the interent can be tricky when it comes to makeup application because products and techniques which work for one person may not work for another. A professional makeup artist knows that every face is different and that every makeup application needs to be customized to the individual.
At Chesapeake School of Esthetics students learn makeup by doing makeup. Over 50% of our program is hands-on. As you discover your own best looks you will also be applying your professional makeup techniques to the other students in the class. Learn how color theory, directional makeup and proper product placement can set you apart in an industry where becoming a true 'professional' can be challenging. Forget 'hacks', learn how to do it right!
